Valentine's Day Giveaway! Win a Paul McCartney Cd, "Kisses on the Bottom"

On December 19th 2011 Paul announced that February 2012 would see the release of his brand new studio album. Scores of fans then streamed the new original track ‘My Valentine,’ many assuming it would be the new record’s title track.  While a few Twitter hints have been dropped and rumors have run rampant, Paul puts an end to speculation, confirming that the album will indeed be titled ‘Kisses On The Bottom’.

Paul has apparently had some fun with his choice of album title—while causing some confusion amongst those who have historically subjected his every move to microscopic scrutiny (with many fixating on an anatomical interpretation!). The phrase ‘Kisses On The Bottom,’ however, actually comes from the album’s opener ‘I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter’. Originally made a big hit by Fats Waller in 1935, the song opens with the lines ‘I’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter and make believe it came from you.  I’m gonna write words oh so sweet.  They’re gonna knock me off of my feet.  A lot of kisses on the bottom, I’ll be glad I got ‘em’.

‘Kisses On The Bottom’ is a collection of standards Paul grew up listening to in his childhood as well as the two new McCartney compositions ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’.  With the help of Grammy Award-winning producer Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall and her band—as well as guest appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder, McCartney’s new album is a deeply personal journey through classic American compositions that, in some cases, a young Paul first heard his father perform on piano at home.  The full tracklisting reveals that Paul has been both reverent and adventurous in his song choices.

Do you plan to go all out with flowers and candy or do you like to lay low? Valentine's is one of my favorite holidays. I love the pinks and reds. I think I will have a Valentine's day card maiking party for my girlfriends.

Pretty much laying low. We sometimes don't like to go out to eat on Valentine's Day because the restaurants are always so crowded. So, we may order food and get it to-go. We like doing this at Outback, much faster and we like the convenience of eating at home.

I am sharing Valentine's Day with my loved ones watching my son's first game of this season. It's an away game and we are sure to grab a bite out afterwards. I love to go all out with candy, flowers and cards for all - I already stopped at Hallmark and they have such cute V-Day goodies!

As a family we do not really celebrate it. Maybe buy a box of chocolate for everyone to share or bake a cake. We show our love all year long there really does not seem to be a reason to have to spend alot of money to just show it on that one day.

We don't usually do a lot for Valentine's day since our wedding anniversary is at the end of February and we will be celebrating then....41 years! I will probably make a nice dinner and a special dessert for Valentine's Day!

It depends on the day of the week that it ends up on - if it is on a weekend, then Steve and I go out to eat and I make dessert so we come home and eat it and spend the night alone. If it is during the week, then I make a nice, fancy-ish dinner and dessert and we try to eat it alone. Or I just make Steve some homemade chocolates and try to surprise him with them. He waits until he gets home to give his gift to me. Or he has flowers delivered. Depends on his mood too. I make sure that we have cards for each other too.

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, however I'm not expecting it to be any different than any other day. Married 35 years and dated for 4, I can count on one hand the number of times we have had a special Valentine's date. I'm not saying we are laying low, its just that we are not doing anything special. Sounds like I need to choose a new favorite holiday, doesn't it!

The current plan for Valentine's Day is a nice supper out---and since we are not allowing alone time for my daughter and her boyfriend, they will also go with us. They can sit on the other side of the restaurant if they want to LOL

My boyfriend and I don't exactly lay low for Vday. He usually gets me the standard box of chocolate (last year it was a tin!) and a sappy card, and something else cool. He kind of spoils me. Then we go out to eat and sometimes a movie. I didn't get the memo our first valentines together and I got him a rather crass though funny card and a naughty fun kit that I found at Walgreens. Oops! This year I'm getting him a box of reeses chocolates in a heart shaped box (he likes them) and a sappy card. I'm debated the whole stuffed animal thing. I might yet.

We both have fallen on financial roughness this year already so I don't know to what extent we will go, but I do feel lucky to have a guy that pays more attention to V-day than to the Super-Bowl!

I want to bake my children a cake. I know that during the day I will be going to see my daughter at school for her valentines day party. After school the kids and I will have the cake. I am not sure if I am going out with the guy I am seeing or not.

We both grew up in the days when the most that could be said about Valentine's Day was it was a day to give the teacher and classmates silly little Valentine's Day cards. That's it. It's not that we aren't romantic. It's that we don't need one day a year to prove our love. So, we don't much go for Valentine's Day.

On the other hand? "Bottom kissing" sounds like fun, minus Paul's song. ;)

We are going out tonight (Monday) and Wednesday, to both avoid tomorrow night's rampant price-gouging and to spread out the love a little longer! After all, when you're with the right person, isn't every day a little like Valentine's Day? :-)

I am volunteering for my youngest son's Valentine's Day party at School, and then I am coming home and cooking a quick supper for my husband and 2 of my kids then I am heading off to the High School to serve dinner to all the kids in the musical, that my other son is in. Then I will come home and eat with my husband and 2 of my kids. We will exchange gifts, and then we will watch TV. We went on a Date on Friday night to a movie so that was kind of like our Valentine's Day. It is too hard with our schedules to do romantic things during the week.

I will be my own valentine as every year for the past 13 years. I will be watching "The biggest Looser" and eating salmon and green plaintain while talking to my sister on the phone. Ok now I am thinking that I should buy myself flowers. I saw "the Vow" on Friday. I loved it... I will probably go see it again this Friday coming. Ah! I am a romantic can't help it.

I will be decorating the table with a red tablecloth that has a valentine inspired motif and setting the table with white Lenox dishes. I will be making steak & tails with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For desert I will bake a chocolate heart shaped cake with strawberry mousse. My husband and son will each get a heart box of chocolates on their plate with a card. I don't like going out on holidays.

My husband and I live for most of the time in two different cities because of his work. For Valentine's Day, he's taking the day off to be with me and we're planning on a romantic sushi dinner at a little restaurant we found and spending the rest of the evening catching up on our together time.

We ALWAYS go all out on Valentine's Day!!! Of course, the guys....my hubby and our son....well, they always get me incredibly beautiful, large bouquets of wonderful flowers.....gotta love it! I try to make them an incredibly scrumptious, two layer Chocolate Coca Cola cake, with mini marshmallows.....it's about the richest, best cake ever, with chocolate butter frosting......yum! I'm also planning to make 3 or 4 kinds of fudge, as well......
I just got myself some heart shaped red and white pot scrubbies, as well as some neat, organic heart shaped little soaps, all on Etsy, for Valentine's Day, so it's quite a major celebration at our house!

I'm sad to say that n the last 14 years I have not celebrated Valentines Day, my big brother died on Valentines Day and they have never been the same since :(..on the 18th of February is his birthday he would have been 65 years young. My husband and I are taking it easy, not really celebrating Valentines day. That's what I told him anyways, I don't know if he will listen or decide to buy me candy and flowers so he won't get in trouble for not buying me something. My plans for our evening include homemade 3 cheese mac-n-cheese, pigs in a blanket, homemade peanut butter cup cheesecake, and a free movie rental.

I don't have romantic plans for Valentine's Day because I'm single...but I'm loving it! Instead of moping around or scrounging for a date, I'm grabbing a friend and we are heading out to a concert at the legendary Troubadour in LA. It will be a Valentine's Day to remember!

I just picked out my daughter's outfit for tomorrow. Twenty minutes later, we have a heart shirt and accessories set for the day. :)

Anyway, I'll spend the day, like any day, with my family. We'll just have the added bonus of candy and heart-shaped sandwiches into the mix.

My sweetheart gave me a massage certificate, so I will be getting a massage at 10 am; I have a romantic meal planned for our dinner when he arrives home from work before he starts his evening job on the phones and computer. I also will be making him carmel corn and chocolate mini cakes with different chocolate candies buried inside. Then when he is done with work we will watch a movie and cuddle on the sofa. Maybe go for a walk in the snow......

What are your Valentine's Day plans? Sitting at home and having a quiet evening with my husband. Sitting with the Love of my Life...the man God put us together. I am making a nice romantic dinner for us both. My husband already gave my Valentine's gift: two boxes of chocolate cover cherries...yummy...and bought me a claddagh ring, which says; Love...friendship and loyalty.

After 33 years of marriage, I plan to wake up next to the man I love, kiss him good morning while silently thanking the muses for allowing me the joy of him, and then I'll get ready for work. He'll have the luxury of staying in bed (his firefighter schedule giving him the day off). And before I leave the house, I'll leave the Valentine I bought for him on the kitchen counter where he'll be sure to see it when he starts his day.

we don't make a big deal of Valentine's Day. helped the little ones get there cards ready for their class party last night. hubby left me a box of chocolates that I opened. Sadly he is traveling for meetings. he left home yesterday and won't be back until Saturday. Going to hang out with my kids and grandkids tonight and maybe watch a DVD. its just another day for us with the exception that we have to have some treats ready for the kiddos classroom party

We did the family thing; individual pizzas for everyone plus I made healthy strawberry smoothies for all of us. We gave the kids some cute chocolate thing and let the kids play video games. I thought it turned out nice.
